Morris has been involved in training and leadership development for over 35 years. His professional background includes seven years working in the non-profit sector in the US and abroad, and 14 years at the corporate headquarters of a major insurance provider in the US before becoming an independent consultant.
Over the last 20 years he has provided training in managerial and leadership skills to some of the largest insurance companies in the world including State Farm, Allstate, and Zurich North America. Outside of the insurance industry he has worked with a number of Fortune 500 companies including Novartis Pharmaceuticals, DHL Shipping, HSBC, and Fiskars Brands. He has lectured in various countries in Europe, South America, the Pacific, Africa, and the Caribbean, as well as throughout the US.
In addition to his work in leadership development, Morris strongly believes that “the body is business relevant” and that taking care of one’s physical and emotional health is key to the modern manager’s success in meeting the challenges of today’s complex business environment. As a certified Energy Management Coach, he is able to help individuals to address their psychological, physiological, and nutritional needs to increase their capacity to be more productive and effective in high stress venues.
Outside of his professional life, Morris is deeply involved in the social and economic development of his local community. He serves as a facilitator of a weekly spiritual enrichment program for adults, and regularly works with grassroots and neighborhood youth groups to help teach the crucial moral, spiritual and ethical skills society often fails to nurture in this important age group. He is also the author of five books.
